For its next device, an Eee Pad, which is the extension of the very successful ASUS Netbooks, but looks more like an iPad, ASUS will no longer use Windows 7 as it’s operating system, but will now use Android. This is good news for ASUS because by switching to Google’s operating system and doing away with Microsoft’s one, they will about paying licensing fees for Microsoft, among others, and Google does not charge for devices to use its operating system.
This device has many cool features, including the ability to connect to the internet with relatively fast speed, thanks to a built in 3G connection. The EEE Pad supports Android 3.0 which will only be released next year, making this Pad the first device to use the latest version of Android.
In another news, a web hosting company shut down its server which supports Blogetery.com, which hosts around 70,000 bloggers. Many bloggers were angered because they were not given a warning and that their sites were shut down without their consent. But according to Blogetery.com, they just acted by the critical reports from law enforcement, stating that this blog site is a hub for terrorists and has links to Al Qaeda, among others. As an illustration, there are blogs which talk about how to make bombs.
