The rumors that Beatles music will be available on iTunes will continue to be rumors as Yoko Ono stated that fans should not expect anything with regards to the matter. Yoko, who is the widow of John Lennon, said that she admires Steve Jobs and Apple Inc., but that there are issues regarding the matter which is keeping the release of Beatles music on iTunes from happening as quickly as many people hope it would happen.
During September 9 of last year, basically all of Beatles’ songs were re released and remastered and put in a box set, at about the same date of the iPod’s release. Because of the timing, some fans were led to believe that this may be a sign that the Beatles’ music will finally be delivered on iTunes. But it didn’t work out that way.
It has been a couple of years already since rumors like these came into existence, but they never turned out to be true. During the early stages, these rumors did not materialize into fact because of an ongoing dispute between Apple and Apple Corps, which is the mother company of the Beatles. The two companies have battled over trademark disagreements, but this has been resolved in 2007.
