Facebook IPO to Begin by 2012

Facebook IPO to Begin by 2012Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that they will postpone their IPO or initial public offering until the year 2012. This is because he wants Facebook to have more time to have more users than it already has. Just recently, the most popular social networking site has surpassed the 500 million mark. This period will also allow Facebook to increase their sales.
Currently, Facebook is under scrutiny after somebody used public data from Facebook users to create a sort of public directory listing. This file is downloaded and distributed online rapidly, and it really awakened a lot of people about the privacy issues of Facebook. But another hot trend is the talks of investors saying that an IPO will be held by 2011, to which they are apparently wrong.
Mark Zuckerberg, who is only 26 years old, will also benefit from the time he will gain before the IPO to improve its skills as a CEO of a company that is worth 24.9 billion dollars, with over 500 million members, and facing such issues as crucial as privacy. Facebook will also have to deal with sales that many analysts predict will certainly increase by as much as 1.4 billion dollars this year compared to about 700 million dollars last year.
