Ford’s New Explorer has Smaller Engine for a Higher Price

Ford Motor CorporaFord’s New Explorer has Smaller Engine for a Higher Pricetion will release its newly revised Explorer Sports Utility Vehicle with an unusual stint; this new model will have a smaller engine and smaller horsepower, and yet it will be more expensive than the previous model. So what are the consumers paying more for this model? The answer is that this car will use the fuel more efficiently, so that drivers will be able to save more energy for a larger price.

In fact, this is the kind of mentality that Ford, the second largest car company in the United States, wants to instill to its consumers, in light of trying to improve on the fuel economy. However, some analysts have foreseen that the company might find it hard to sell this new version of the Explorer, even with its catch of being able to save more on fuel.

This is because the price of gas has fallen significantly. Around two years ago, the highest price that gas has reached is 4.11 dollars per gallon. Now, the price of gas is 34 percent cheaper than that price. Many experts believe that this will truly affect people’s choices on whether they would buy the Explorer or not. Since they can afford the fuel, this might let them decide that fuel saving is not an important consideration.
