Ellen DeGeneres was picked to the replacement of Paula Abdul in the talent search show American Idol. Many think that it was a good choice but it wasn’t after all.
Ellen was a huge fan of the show and everybody expected her to throw constructive criticisms to the contestants but she jut seemed to be dull. She was never critical about the performances. People say that leaving American Idol was the best option and let her return to her status as a fan. The program might find a better judge to replace her.
The only contribution she made for the program was to let the rejected contestants perform in her daytime talk show once again and talk about their exit. Some said that the reason for her inability to raise criticisms is because she has some discomfort in criticizing especially those who she really likes. Another reason is the lack of chemistry between her and Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. And she was never confident in showing the same wit and creativity as with her other shows.
Well, it might be a very good idea that she will just go back to her talk show instead of being a judge. Judging might not be her call but talking.
