Zynga has become famous for its various Facebook games. FarmVille, in particular, is one of its biggest hits. Now, another idea has crossed their mind. Instead of farms with pigs, chickens, maple trees and such, they now want to bring social gamers a new perspective. They want to bring the players west and this is where FrontierVille comes in. Here, you will come across bears, rattlesnakes, wagons and the like. Zynga is expecting the game to attract millions of active Facebook users once again.

FrontierVille is released today and the company is hoping that it will bring back their once avid fans. Zynga has recently noticed that FarmVille’s popularity has declined in recent months. From 252 million users in April, only 216 million are left today.

FrontierVille is said to require more strategy than FarmVille. There are still the same repetitive things like planting and harvesting. Unlike FarmVille though, the same can be done except that it is more classier.

Similar to Café World, you can also employ your friends. Once you have paid enough in-game cash, you can use their avatar to do some tasks in your land.
